I Do Events: Behind the Tablescapes-Meet the Managers

Brittany Adams-Showroom Office Manager of Washington IL

I have been with I Do Events off and on for 11 years. I love helping brides visions come to fruition, and being able to work so closely along with them for one of the biggest days of their lives! I love the artistic side of this job; putting linens and centerpieces together to create a perfect look for my brides.

I love music and dancing, so I spend my free time listening to live music and checking out the local music scene. I also spend a great deal of time on healthy living & cooking, and spending time with my crazy cat; Meow.

I have my Esthetician license and CNA license, but I find I work well in an environment where I can have customer interaction daily.

Shamiira Brown-Showroom Office Manager of Champaign, IL

I’ve been with I Do Events for about a year. I previously worked in Floristry as a merchandiser, and before that in Men’s upscale suiting and tuxedos. I was looking for an opportunity to expand my creative skills beyond the Retail industry, and I came across I Do Events after participating at an annual bridal expo.

After some research; I discovered Event Decorating & Tablescape Design was right up my alley, and I have not looked back ever since! What I love most about I Do is transforming an empty room into a beautiful and breathtaking landscape! It is an amazing feeling to be a part of the process of making the otherwise mundane look both memorable and captivating!

My current hobbies and interests related to the field are DIY projects in fashion and interior design, personal wardrobe styling, visual merchandising. I also love reading anything I can get my hands on, and writing poetry.

My work background includes clerical/administrative work, sales & retail management, and Visual Merchandising.

You can book an appointment with any of these lovely ladies by visiting: I Do Events

Lime, Peach, and Gold OH MY!

With so many compliments, it only seems fitting we share with you our big hit table from the I Do Events Showroom in Champaign. For those of you that have not been to the showroom lately, you are in for a real treat. It has been given a refreshing facelift just in time for spring!

Immediately upon walking in you see this table, more specifically the large blush and ivory floral arrangement atop a gold trumpet vase flanked by gold mercury glass votives. Pair that with a lime linen, a peach chiffon runner, peach napkins, and peach organza sashes tied in a bow on gold chiavari chairs and you pretty much have a match made in spring heaven! Except we didn’t stop there.

You’ve been saying it and we hear you – GOLD! Gold has been such a prominent color so far this season and we couldn’t be happier to incorporate it into this table design. From the gold rimmed champagne glasses to the gold charger plates and utensils, we really have a table that shines.

This table truly is perfect for any occasion whether it be a wedding or a Sunday brunch. Want to give it a personal touch? Check out these gold sequin favor boxes available on our new website www.IDoPrettyLittleThings.com. There, you will find a variety of favor and gift items for showers, bachelorette parties, weddings, bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, bridal apparel, and ceremony and reception décor!

Romantic Silvercreek Restaurant Wedding

Romantic Silvercreek Restaurant Wedding

We were delighted to be a part of such a classic and romantic wedding at Silvercreek Restaurant in Urbana, IL. The festivities took place in their charming greenhouse, illuminated solely by the warm glow of garden lights and over 100 candles.

As guests walked in, they saw the custom made peach watercolor escort board, directing them to their tables. The tables were identified by matching custom peach watercolor table numbers and set with peach overlays and peach satin napkins provided by I Do Events. To add to the beauty, Julie from Flora Design Studio (Mahomet, IL) provided over 100 candles and sweet smelling fresh floral consisting of blush roses and ivory hydrangea.

That, complimented with a champagne sequin linen on the cake table and custom “All You Need Is Love and Cake” napkins, everything was perfect!! Did I mention we were able to make all of this magic happen during a 45 minute cocktail-hour?! Thank you to Evan from Evan Brown Photography (Springfield, IL) for the stunning pictures!

September 2011 Featured Event

“Tiffany Blue”
Mathew & Hailee Wiesbrock
9/10/11

First and foremost, I Do Events would like to congratulate Mathew & Hailee as they start their journey together.   From the start, Hailee knew she wanted her wedding to be different and memorable and she started by picking an unforgettable date of 9,10,11.  Mathew is sure to always remember their anniversary!!

Inspiration:  Hailee wanted something soft and romantic.  She had always loved the classic, “Tiffany Blue,” and wanted to see a lot of crystal embellishments and candlelight.

Bridal Attire:  The custom San Patrick mermaid style dress featured a strapless neckline with layers of tightly fitting criss-cross fabric on the bodice and waist, along with a customized crystal belt.  The skirt had a series of layers of extensively fluttered fabric with a slight train in the back.  The shoes were her “Something Blue” by Manolo Blahnick, the same ones worn by Carrie in Sex and the City when she married Big!!  Matt wore a brown Calvin Klein tuxedo from Jims Formalware as he was insistent on this, and I’m so glad he was.  He looked great!!
